The International Healthcare Placement Service, NordicMed,
has opened its first office in Florida. Regional
Manager Anna Johansson says, "NordicMed decided to open this regional office due to the great interest Swedish nurses have shown in working and living in Florida. Our office’s primary task will be to generate new contracts with hospitals in the area and ensure that our nursing staff provides high quality, dependable service. In addition, our office works to make living arrangements for our nurses so that they enjoy both living and working in Florida. Our nurses know that we are here to help them with either personal or professional problems. This is what makes NordicMed an outstanding opportunity for nurse recruits. We are a very “hands-on” organization,
and nurses know they will be well taken care of during their stay in the
U.S.”
NordicMed President, Olof Ingare, comments, "Florida has the potential to become the largest market for Scandinavian nurses in the United States. With the increasing number of retirees and senior citizens relocating to Florida, the need for nurses to staff hospitals has come to a critical point. Florida is also a highly desirable area for Scandinavians. The exceptional weather, low cost of living and the high number of Scandinavians residing in South Florida, make this an ideal place for Nordic nurses to live. Opening the Florida office division fits well with NordicMed’s expansion plans".
