TOEFL
You must obtain a passing
score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
For registered nurses, you must submit a score of 540 on the
written TOEFL or 207 on the computer-based TOEFL. For
physical and occupational therapists, you must submit a score
of 560 on the written TOEFL or a 220 on the computer-based

Our experience is that most Scandinavians do well on the
TOEFL since they speak English fluently, however you should still
study diligently for the exams. We recommend that you purchase
a TOEFL study book before you take the exam. Below are some
deadline dates for the TOEFL test:
Outside the United States and Canada
Computer-based Test Dates The computer-based TOEFL test is offered on a continuous basis at most test centers.
Paper-based Test Dates
The paper-based TOEFL test is offered six times a year in areas where computer-based testing is not available.

- The Test
of Written English (TWE), a 30-minute writing test,
will be given with TOEFL on all test dates.
- This is the date when your mailed registration form must
be received by the TOEFL registration office in Princeton,
NJ, USA.
- This is the date when your online
registration form must be received by the
TOEFL registration office in Princeton, NJ, USA.
Many test centers fill up quickly. To be sure the center
of your choice has space for you, register early.
- Score
reports will be mailed approximately four weeks after
the day of the test from ETS, Princeton, NJ, USA. Under no
circumstances can score reports be mailed
any earlier. However, you can obtain your scores
by phone on the scores by phone date listed above.
CGFNS- The International Nurse Exam
This requirement comprises a
review of the nurse's education, registration and
licensure. You will need to submit documentation from
your educational institution (in English) regarding your
degree and related coursework. In addition, you must
provide evidence of registration and licensure from your
originating country of employment. Your credentials will
be evaluated by an independent party to determine your
eligibility status for employment within the United States.
You must take and pass The
Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS)
exam. This exam is only offered 3 times per

Exam Dates
CGFNS has announced the dates of its
Qualifying Exam for 2005. The examination is held in Göteborg. Application
deadlines listed below cannot be extended. The dates and deadlines

You have to take the NCLEX Exam within the United States. When you need to fulfill this requirement NordicMed will make
